We became involved in the sport of purebred dogs in 1992 with our first Dalmatian champion,
Am/Can Ch Deluxe High Fashion Dots, "Gucci", bred by Paula Miller of Montazh Dalmatians. Gucci is by Am/Can CH Saratoga's Missouri Outlaw and out of CH Lady Mattie Lovely Dots.

Gucci was a delight to show and a dream to live with and truly the best introduction to show dogs that anyone could ask for. Gucci is the sire of our "Ike" and "Courtney Marie".

Ike really loved to show and made appearances in the ring until the age of 10. Ike and Courtney Marie both lived long, happy lives, passing away after their 15th birthdays in 2009.

Since 1997 we have bred Beagles, finishing AKC and UKC championships on many Beagles of our breeding.

Julie and Ron Lux with CH Lightning and CH Tootsie.

Ron and Julie are both members of the Heart of America Kennel Club where Ron holds the office of President and Julie is Show Chair. We are also members of the Leavenworth Kennel Club, where Julie holds the office of Vice President, as well as memberships in the American Foxhounds Club, and the National Beagle Club.

Julie has held the position of Public Relations for the Dalmatian Club of America since 1995. Julie and Ron are both founding members of the Heartland Dalmatian Club of Greater Kansas City. Julie is a past President and Ron is a past Treasurer.

Dalmatians continue to hold a special place in our hearts, but we decided not to continue to actively breed them.

At the Westminster Kennel Club show in New York in 1993, Ron became enchanted by American Foxhounds. After an extensive search for just the right hound, he found one in our own backyard, bred by Phyllis Snell and her husband, the late Dr. Alan Snell. CH Winquest Deluxe All American, "Quincy", was our first Foxhound champion and our first Group placer, owner/handled by Ron.

Then in 1998, Victoria arrived at Deluxe from a breeding by Janice Wright of Cedar Creek American Foxhounds. She would become Ch Cedar Creek Golden Girl Deluxe. Victoria has more than 40 Group placements with five Group Firsts - owner/handled by Julie.

We have had the pleasure of showing and finishing a number of wonderful American foxhounds including Ch Deluxe Splash, "Splash"; GCH Kiarry and Deluxe Adam's Rib, "Amanda"; and Ch Cedar Creek Jamacian Me Crazy, "Jake."

Ron's interest in American Foxhounds and Julie's ambition to judge led us to bring the "little hounds", the Beagles, into the family.

In 1997, we were lucky enough to convince Peggy and John Shaw to part with the charming "Lindsay Ann", who became CH Shaw's Deluxe Call To Glory as well as the start of our Beagle breeding program.

Since 1997 we have bred more than 18 Beagle Champions to date. See some of our conformation and performance stars on the Home page.
